Try out Sway in your First Release tenant now

Preview

Ok, if you want to try out Sway within your organization, here it is. It popped up on the App Launcher just the other day.

AppLauncher

(You can use this URL: https://sway.com/?o365=true and then sign in with your organizational account)

It is a preview, not fully operational yet but as many of you have seen, it works remarkably well!
Microsoft uses Sway in a lot of their presentations and they look great 🙂
I can give you a great example, at Ignite, Mark Kashman held a session the last day where he recapped all SharePoint content during the Conference in a Sway: http://aka.ms/sharepointUNPLUGGED

Try it out, remember that there are a few limitations though.
– I have found the ‘Import from PowerPoint’ to be really bad, it imports all objects one by one as a ‘slide’. Try it out and see for yourselves.
– Also, every time you press ‘Get started’ a new Sway is created, even you you do nothing more it will show up in the list.

In Sway preview you can set the permissions to be:
– Public
– People with the link
– My organization (Everyone)
– Just me
For now, this is fine, but eventually we will want to be able to add Groups of users or a select few.

You can add content easily be searching for it and just drag and drop it to the Sway Surface.

If you don’t like the design and don’t feel like spending time on making it just right, use the ‘Remix’ button.

Remix
Remix will apply a new design to the entire Sway, Headers, Colors, Formatting and all.

One Million….!

Last week this blog reached 1 million (1.000.000) views, which is really amazing in my world. I could never dream of that when I started this blog back in 2011.
This post contains my humble THANKS to everyone who have visited, contributed, volontarily or in any other way, and foremost, thanks to all the great feedback you have given me! Keep it coming, it is Always nice to know that I’m helping you out there, same as other peoples blogs help me.

I’ll try and keep delivering good quality posts to all of you, higher quality comes at a lower frequency, but I feel that quality is preferable to quantity in this field. The given topic is SharePoint but I’ll also try to fill in blanks where there is a need on other topics.

1000000x

Until the next post, have a great summer folks!

…a small step for the SharePoint Community, but a huge step for a simple SharePoint enthusiast…

EmiliasTreex

Today, on April 16th 2013 I got my 100.000’nd view on http://blog.blksthl.com. It’s an amazing feeling. I never suspected that when I first started blogging about a year and a half ago. As you can see in my very first post ever: https://blog.blksthl.com/2011/06/23/first-post/
the content has improved somewhat since then…
I’m honoured and humbled be this great number, if it were unique visitors then it would be a lot of people…all of these visits from people all over the World, all in all, I have had people coming in from 174 different countries to visit, that’s really Amazing!

All I can do now is try to keep it up, I’ll try to keep writing the guides that nobody else does, try to add the information that is not avalible in any decent form anywhere else. If you have a topic that you want me to do a post on or a guide on how to do, let me know and I’ll think about it.

I also have to say
THANK YOU as well to all of you who have visited my blog
THANK YOU who have commented
THANK YOU who have contributed
Thanks a lot everyone for reading what I write.

I also have to say a special thanks to my friends and coworkers over time who have in different ways helped me and supported me during my SharePoint efforts, without these guys, I would never have managed:
Mattias Gutke, Björn Rosen, Anders Grönlund, Niklas Goude, Andrija Marcic, Mattias Karlsson.
Thanks guys!

With that, onward towards 200.000, or maybe 1.000.000 is the next official milestone?
